Blasts - 3 of 3

Blasts - 3 of 3

This is the 3rd part of a 3 part series where we will devise a hypothetical marketing strategy and go through how it works.

Let us say you have a list of 100 contacts and you tagged all of them with New, Cold.

We will build a 3 blast series intended to identify what, if anything, they are interested in and how interested they might be.

Blast #1 is going to be a friendly introduction that is going to feature two properties and has two buttons. One qualifies them as interested in Commercial, and the other as interested in Residential. How?

  • Create a new Blast, name it Blast01.
  • In who, click on with these tags... and add New, Cold and click on and NOT these tags... and add Blast01.
  • In what, use the editor to build a blast email.
  • Add a text block and provide a good introduction paragraph or two.
  • Add two Listing blocks. Pick one Commercial property and one Residential property, each considered featured.
  • In each block, change the links of the image and buttons to the link of a saved Scout that filters to your properties respectfully and set the link's tag(+) to Commercial and Residential respectfully.
  • Change the text of each property block to be about your Commercial and Residential offerings respectfully as opposed to about that particular property.
  • Customize other things as you want i.e. profile block, colors.
  • In when, pick a start on... date like today and in a few hours from now. Turn off repeat for now.
  • In the magic boxes, put some tags...
  • In send, put tag(+) Blast01 and tag(-) New to represent they have been sent your introduction email.
  • In click, put tag(+) Warm and tag(-) Cold. This indicates they have engaged.
  • In bad, put tag(+) BadEmail and tag(-) Cold, Warm, Hot to indicate a bad/undeliverable email, this is automagic weeding.
  • Save the Blast. Leave it Off for now.
  • Create another Blast, name it Blast02
  • In who, click on with these tags... and add Blast01, Commercial, Warm and then click on and NOT these tags... and add Blast02.
  • In what, use the editor to build a blast email.
  • Add a text block and provide a good introduction paragraph or two regarding your featured Commercial properties.
  • Choose one or more of your hottest Commercial listings and add Listing blocks to the email.
  • In each property block's image and button links, set tag(+) to the applicable property sub-type i.e. Office or Retail or Medical, etc.
  • Customize other things as you want i.e. profile block, colors.
  • In when, pick a start on... date like tomorrow. Turn off repeat for now.
  • In the magic boxes is where you are going ot put some tags...
  • In Send put tag(+) Blast02 to represent they have been sent this blast email.
  • In Click put tag(+) Hot and tag(-) Cold, Warm. This indicates they have engaged.
  • In Bad put tag(+) BadEmail and tag(-) Cold, Warm, Hot to indicate a bad/undeliverable email, this is automagic weeding.
  • Save the Blast. Leave it Off for now.
  • Create a 3rd Blast and name it Blast03. You could duplicate Blast02 to save time and effort.
  • Make this blast just like Blast02 except that it is about Residential properties. So change all of property blocks and links and tagging accordingly.

Now, send yourself a test email and if everything looks good, turn On all three Blasts. You can monitor the Blasts' performance in Wow.

Over time, you will develop a highly qualified and targetable contact list, something like the diagram below.

Simple, perhaps even trite, but hopefully you found this user guide series valuable. Let us know what you think.
